Group appoints third leader in two years

Fabricant The Natural Products Association has hired a former staffer as its new CEO, marking the third time the organization has changed leaders in two years. Daniel Fabricant, director of the Food and Drug Administration's Division of Dietary Supplement Programs, has been named CEO of the $3 million-revenue group. He replaces John Shaw, who has led the group since June 2012. Shaw replaced John Gay, who stepped down after leading NPA for three years and is now vice president of government affairs for the Consumer Healthcare Products Association.
